How to draw a bead pattern
- Choose 29, 58, or 87 — or a custom size up to 116 on each edge.
- Pick a brand palette. Paint starts on black, or the darkest color if black is missing.
- Paint, erase, pick, and fill. Download a PNG chart, or open a photo converter if you would rather start from a picture.
A blank Perler canvas in the browser
This page is for drawing from empty cells, not for converting a photo. The grid, palettes, and PNG export are the same studio used on the photo converter — there is not a second canvas. Hama and Artkal 5mm colors are available; the English title uses Perler because that is how most people search.
Start from a 29×29 board if you want a one-evening iron. Larger custom sizes exist, but 116 is the website ceiling. Full board splits and 1:1 PDF remain in the app.
Painting, empty cells, and the PNG
Paint and drag to lay beads. Erase returns a cell to empty. Pick samples a bead already on the grid. Fill paints a connected region. Undo and redo stay in this tab only.
The download is a printable chart: grid, codes, counts, and bead.pixlery.com. If you would rather start from a photograph, use the photo converter. Official finished subjects live in the pattern catalog.
Questions
Is this the same canvas as photo convert?
Yes. Convert and draw share one bead studio: palettes, paint, erase, pick, fill, undo, and PNG export. Only the starting grid is different — a photo result versus empty cells.
Do empty cells mean white beads?
No. Empty cells are empty. White is a real Perler or Hama code you place on purpose. The PNG legend only lists colors that are actually on the grid.
What sizes can I use?
Presets 29, 58, and 87, or a custom rectangle up to 116 on each edge. That matches one to three standard 5mm pegboards. Wider builds belong in the app.
Which palettes are included?
Perler Midi, Hama Midi, Artkal S 5mm, Nabbi / Pyssla, and MARD 221 — each brand’s full 5mm midi range, with real codes. Changing palette remaps each bead to the nearest color in the new set, so a Perler blue does not become an Artkal pink.
What can I download?
A PNG with the grid, codes, counts, and bead.pixlery.com. There is no PDF on the website in this version. HD export and board-by-board guides are in the Bead Pattern app.
Do I need an account? Will my drawing be saved?
No account. The drawing lives in this tab. Refreshing clears it. We do not upload the canvas to a server or publish it as a public page.
